Tom Everett Scott Dons 'Cashmere'
Actor gets 'special guest star' billing

August 21, 2007

The "Cashmere Mafia" has tapped a new member, adding Tom Everett Scott to the show's cast for the premiere episode.

Scott, who starred in TNT's "Saved" last year, will be a "special guest star" in the ABC show's debut episode, which is scheduled for Nov. 27. That billing often means an actor will be back for additional episodes, but there's no word on Scott's future with the show.

He'll play the fiance -- and workplace rival -- of Lucy Liu's character. Their engagement gets off to a rocky start when their boss, the head of a magazine publisher, pits the two against one another for a promotion.

Scott takes over the role from Timothy Adams, who played the part in the pilot.

In addition to "Saved," Scott's TV credits include "Philly," "The $treet," the CBS movie "Surrender Dorothy" and a recurring role on "ER" as Abby's (Maura Tierney) brother. On the big screen, he starred in "That Thing You Do!" and has also appeared in "Boiler Room," "Van Wilder" and this year's "Because I Said So."

Okay, the comments are back, but you will need to register to post any comments. I'm sorry to have to do that, but I get way too much spam. I tried the other way of approving the messages, but that got to be too much trouble. For every thousand pieces of spam, there would only be one real comment.
